Bookings are now open for the Fourth North Sea Hydrogen Ports and Maritime Conference which will be held in Brussels on Thursday 27 February 2025. The Conference will look at the key role that North Sea ports will play in the growing hydrogen economy and the development of North Sea as a strategic import corridor.
Preparations for the conference are well advanced and many speakers have agreed to speak. These include Tudor Constantinescu, the Principal Advisor to the Director General for Energy. He has played a key role in the decarbonisation of the EU’s energy systems and the role that hydrogen will play in it.
The new Executive Director of Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, Valerie Bouillon-Delporte will also speak. In 2023, the Clean Hydrogen JU’s commissioned three reports on the use of hydrogen in ports and this shows the growing importance of hydrogen to a decarbonised ports and maritime sector.
Rosalinde van der Vlies has also agreed to speak. She is Clean Planet Director in the European Commission and has played a leading role in the development of the Green Deal and the Commission’s support for the development of Hydrogen Valleys.
The Conference will further develop the Hydrogen Valley theme with a presentation from Koen Stamou, the Project Manager for the North Sea Hydrogen Valley Ports project. This project is funded by INTERREG North Sea and develops Master Plans for four ports in the North Sea Region.
More speakers will be announced shortly. If you would like to register for the Conference, please go the European Policy solutions website (www.europeanpolicysolutions.com) and follow the seminars link.
