Hydrogen Ports and Maritime Policy Conference – Places Still Available

There are still places available for the Conference: “Developing Hydrogen Ports and Maritime Policy  in the North Sea Region” which will take place in Edinburgh on 26 March.

The Conference has attracted a lot of interest and a number of new Speakers are making presentations. These include  Tobias Metzner from bremenports.  Tobias is Project Manager  of the Smart Harbour Application Renewable Integration Concept (SHARC) and he will talk about the role of hydrogen in the project.

Ase Bye from PowerCell Sweden will present the company’s work in the Zero Emission Fast Ferry ,project which received funding from the Norwegian Government in 2018.

Richard Klatten, the Chief Executive of Future Proof Shipping, will look at ways in which a Zero Emission Shipping World can be created.  Future Proof Shipping offer commercial, technical and financial support for zero emission ships.

The University Maritime Advisory Services (U-MAS) has been looking at the role that zero emission fuels will play in reaching the IMO emission reduction targets in 2050.  In January 2019, they published a Report in collaboration with Lloyd’s Register “Zero Emission Vessels: Pathways to Transition” and Carlo Raucci from U-MAS will be discussing the Report.
