European Policy Solutions and NS HyMaP are holding six webinars aimed at increasing international co-operation between Scotland and Northern Germany which should, in turn, increased hydrogen trade flows between the two territories.

The webinars will be followed by a series of meetings to develop a project pipeline to create a value chain to support hydrogen imports and exports between Scotland and Northern Germany.

Aim of Initiative

To build on strategic reports which outline greater co-operation between Scotland and Northern Germany by developing partnerships and projects which will further research and innovation and create a value chain enabling the import and export of hydrogen between the two territories.

Webinar One: Government Policy Ambitions: Tuesday 3 February 2026

This webinar outlines the policy ambitions of the spheres of Government covering Scotland and Northern Germany. It is hoped that presentations include contributions from the Federal Government of Germany, UK Government, Scottish Government and Hy5 Group of North German Lander. The webinar will set the scene for the following five webinars which look at the way in which these ambitions can be realised. Confirmed speakers include Ivan Cupull (Scottish Government); Nicole van Delft (Ministry of Economy, Federal Government of Germany), and Heike Tipmonta (Hy 5 & Hamburg Invest.)

The webinars will be around 1.5 hours in length, in English and free of charge.
