Senior Commission Officials To Make Keynote Addresses at Hydrogen Ports Conference

Senior European Commission officials have agreed to speak at the Fourth North Sea Hydrogen Ports and Maritime Conference which will be held in Brussels on Thursday 27 February 2025.  The Conference is organised by European Policy Solutions and sponsored by RINA.

The One Day Conference will be held at Scotland House in Rond-Point Schuman.   The Conference will begin with a Keynote Address from Valerie Bouillon-Delporte, the Executive Director of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership.   The role of Hydrogen in Ports is a topic of growing importance in the hydrogen economy and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership commissioned a three volume report into the role of hydrogen in ports in 2023.  Ms Bouillon-Delporte will look at the role of hydrogen and its derivatives in the ports and maritime sectors.

Rosalinde van der Vlies, has been Clean Planet Director in the European Commission Research and Innovation Directorate since 2020.  She will discuss the development of a research and innovation strategy for hydrogen ports.  The Research and Innovation Directorate has played a leading role in the EU’s development of policies around Hydrogen Valleys and has put funding into the current Clean Hydrogen Partnership call for projects.

Tudor Constantinescu is Principal Advisor to the Director General for Energy in the European Commission.  He has played a leading role in the development of the EU’s Green Deal and the creation of regulations associated with the development of a hydrogen economy.  Tudor will begin the afternoon sessions and will look at the role of targets, regulation and funding ithe development of a hydrogen market.
